Admission to the Cercle Sigebert IV
The Cercle Sigebert IV constitutes the official outer circle of the Prieuré de Sion.
It is within this circle that studies, research, and projects of relevance to the Order and its tradition are conducted and developed.
The Cercle Sigebert IV is conceived as a space of disciplined inquiry, preparation, and transmission, intended for those who wish to approach the tradition of the Prieuré de Sion in a serious, methodical, and committed manner.
Fields of Study and Research
The Cercle Sigebert IV meets periodically. During its sessions, members engage in structured study and collective work on the following subjects:
- The Prieuré de Sion and its historical development
- The initiatic and chivalric tradition of the Prieuré de Sion
- The history, structure, and function of initiatic chivalric, and esoteric Orders
- The origins of primordial knowledge and traditional transmission
- Symbolism
- Alchemy
- Hermeticism
- The study of initiatic paths across existing traditions
- Religions and their historical evolution
- Philosophy
- Sacred geometry
- Esoteric studies
- Meditation and its various techniques
- History
- Art and sacred art
These themes are approached from a traditional and initiatic perspective, with attention given to sources, symbolic coherence, and continuity of transmission.
Path Toward Initiation
After a period of specific preparation and regular attendance over a minimum period of five to six months within one of the Cercle Sigebert IV groups, members may submit an application for initiation into the Prieuré de Sion and request access to its Commanderies and Chapters.
Admission to the Prieuré de Sion is not possible without prior participation in the Cercle Sigebert IV.
The Cercle thus represents a necessary and foundational stage in the initiatic path.
Meditative Practice
Each gathering of the Cercle Sigebert IV includes a collective meditation session, forming an integral part of the work.
Meditation is regarded not as an optional practice, but as a fundamental discipline accompanying study, reflection, and inner alignment.
