Tribe 13 is launching a series of free monthly Trauma Medicine courses in Austria, with the long-term goal of training qualified instructors capable of covering every region of Europe.
Trauma Medicine is the branch of emergency medical care focused on the immediate treatment of severe injuries caused by accidents, violence, bleeding, fractures, burns, and other life-threatening situations. These techniques are designed to stabilize injured individuals during the critical minutes before professional medical services arrive. The training includes hemorrhage control, emergency response under stress, patient stabilization, airway management, and rapid intervention procedures that can dramatically increase survival chances.
Today, the importance of these skills is becoming increasingly evident. Across many European cities, growing micro-criminality and rising street violence are creating situations where ordinary citizens may unexpectedly face dangerous emergencies. At the same time, road accidents continue to represent one of the leading causes of serious injuries and fatalities throughout Europe. In many cases, the actions taken during the first few minutes after an incident can determine whether a person survives or suffers permanent consequences.
For this reason, Tribe 13 believes that practical emergency medical knowledge should not remain limited to professionals only, but should become accessible to communities, volunteers, and responsible citizens across Europe.
The courses are completely free of charge and are intended both for beginners and for individuals interested in becoming future instructors.
